Cold Process Soap Testing Notes

Tested at 5% FO load, 01/01/22 with a recipe containing 30% lye concentration (water:lye ratio 2.300:1) with 5% superfat at 90 degrees. Recipe is 33% organic and sustainable palm oil, 33% coconut oil, 16% Canola oil, 14.9% olive oil, 3% castor oil, and 0.01% vitamin E oil.

Acceleration: Fast

Ricing: None

Discoloration: Cream

Trace: Normal

Design Notes: Recommend mixing colorants prior to adding fragrance oil. Accelerates with a stick blender, so consider hand stirring the fragrance in. Sets up quickly in the mold. Great for layer designs and textures.

Scent Retention: Strong

Clumps in CP Soap

I make goat's milk CP soap and this fragrance is amazing! It clumps up in the batter and has to be stick-blended on low to smooth out the lumps before pouring in the mold. I ruined the first batch of soap but the rest have all come out perfect with this method. This scent is a customer favorite. Smells like a spa.

Smells like a lemon drop shot. A smidge of a sweetness to it. Haven’t used in soap yet but smells like a lemon drop OOB.

Nice scent, slight ricing

This is a nice fresh scent. I was nervous to try it in CP soap due to the soaping notes, but I found it didn't accelerate much, even with stick blending. It did rice a little though. It set up fast once in the mold which was nice for layering.
