Cold Process Soap Testing Notes

Tested at 5% FO load, 01/01/22 with a recipe containing 30% lye concentration (water:lye ratio 2.300:1) with 5% superfat at 90 degrees. Recipe is 33% organic and sustainable palm oil, 33% coconut oil, 16% Canola oil, 14.9% olive oil, 3% castor oil, and 0.01% vitamin E oil.

Acceleration: Fast

Ricing: Slight

Discoloration: Cream

Trace: Normal

Design Notes: Recommend mixing colorants prior to adding fragrance. The floral components cause this oil to accelerate very quickly, so we recommend hand stirring the fragrance in. The warmer this oil is soaped at, slight ricing can occur. For optimal working time and ricing avoidance, we recommend soaping between 80-90 degrees. Best for layers or single color designs.

Scent Retention: Strong

Beautiful in CP Soap

I make goat's milk CP soap and this fragrance is amazing! It soaps perfectly and does not accelerate or rice. I can stick blend the clay and scent in the batter with no issues. I usually mix this with sage and lemon and it's wonderful. I plan to make soap with this on it's own as well.

REAL Lavender scent!

I will ONLY buy lavender from MWFC. I am an herbalist, and this fragrance oil perfectly nails the scent of lavender! I hope this formula never changes.

Smells exactly like lavender EO to me which is what I wanted. I only used 2% in cp soap and it was perfect. Says there’s ricing and accelerating in description but I soaped a bit hotter and had no issues, just work fast.

Not stand alone

This lavender is alright. At %10 in parasoy blend...just too weak on it's own. Good blending frag. Perhaps White Tea or Lemon 50/50 ea.
Note: Smells wonderful in lotions :)
