Cold Process Soap Testing Notes

Tested at 5% FO load, 04/08/24 with a recipe containing 30% lye concentration (water:lye ratio 2.300:1) with 5% superfat at 90 degrees. Recipe is 33% organic and sustainable palm oil, 33% coconut oil, 16% Canola oil, 14.9% olive oil, 3% castor oil, and 0.01% vitamin E oil. 

Acceleration: Slight

Ricing: None

Discoloration: Dark Brown

Trace: Quick

Design Notes: Minor acceleration was noted, but still allowed for good working time. Great for single colors or layered designs. High vanillin content yielded dark discoloration so colorants may morph. 

Scent Retention: Pending update once fully cured
