Cold Process Soap Testing Notes

Tested at MAX (3.05%) FO load, 2/11/22 with a recipe containing 30% lye concentration (water:lye ratio 2.300:1) with 5% superfat at 90 degrees. Recipe is 33% organic and sustainable palm oil, 33% coconut oil, 16% Canola oil, 14.9% olive oil, 3% castor oil, and 0.01% vitamin E oil.

Acceleration: Slight

Ricing: None

Discoloration: Light Brown

Trace: Normal

Design Notes: Mix colorants prior to adding fragrance. Discoloration should be expected. Minor acceleration but still allows for plenty of working time.

Scent Retention: Strong

Thanksgiving favorite

When I initially opened the bottle, I wasn’t thrilled but needed try it. Am I glad I did because now it is my go to for Thanksgiving. Perfect HT and smells exactly like apple pie.

I searched high and low for a genuine Hot Apple Pie Fragrance. My nose does not lie! I have an exceptional sense of smell. Yes, sitting with a slice of hot apple pie after going for a walk in the fall is what this fragrance brings to mind. This fragrance is a winner and I expect to carry in my candles all year long! Wonderful, crisp, and a true bakery aroma! Great Job!

Cold process goat milk soap- scent doesn’t hold well, but it smells absolutely delightful in the lotion!
