Cold Process Soap Testing Notes

Tested at 5% FO load, 01/01/22 with a recipe containing 30% lye concentration (water:lye ratio 2.300:1) with 5% superfat at 90 degrees. Recipe is 33% organic and sustainable palm oil, 33% coconut oil, 16% Canola oil, 14.9% olive oil, 3% castor oil, and 0.01% vitamin E oil.

Acceleration: Slight

Ricing: None

Discoloration: Dark Brown

Trace: Normal

Design Notes: Behaves very well and allows for enough time for swirl designs. Due to high ethyl vanillin content, this fragrance discolors quite dark. This discoloration can bleed into unscented portions or darken other colorants used. Some recipes have experienced an unusual odor after saponification but goes away 24-48 hours later.

All I can say is that I am so happy that I am a person who reads reviews. Everyone raved anout this scent and so I decided to go ahead and purchase not 1 but 2 eight ounce bottles!! I am so in love with this scent and can’t wait to use it!!

Subtle Sweet

I'm new to trying fragrance in my cold process soap. I used this with CP soap and clays; it did not disappoint. The fragrance is a subtle sweet. It's lovely! And no, it didn't discolor the soap. I have a tendency to use less, where others use .5 oz. I use 4 oz. I like less than more in fragrance. I like it and will be making more soap with it. Did I say--- it's lovely? Yes.

Smells Fantastic, Discolors Badly in CP Soap

This was recommended in the MWFC Facebook group. It does not disappoint. The scent is beautiful. It discolors badly in CP soap. It does say it right on the label.

I absolutely love this fragrance. It's a smell you want to smell on your sheets, or towels. It smells luxurious warm, snuggly! High recommend it.
