Cold Process Soap Testing Notes

Tested at 5% FO load, 06/01/24 with a recipe containing 30% lye concentration (water:lye ratio 2.300:1) with 5% superfat at 90 degrees. Recipe is 33% organic and sustainable palm oil, 33% coconut oil, 16% Canola oil, 14.9% olive oil, 3% castor oil, and 0.01% vitamin E oil.

Acceleration: Fast

Discoloration: Light Brown

Trace: Quick

Design Notes: Recommended to mix colorants prior to adding the fragrance oil. Accelerates fast with stick blender, so consider hand stirring fragrance in. It sets up quite fast in the mold. Great for layers and textures.

Miss

I love Cardamom, saffron, violet. These are strong scents. But the strength just didn't carry over in the finished fragrance oil. This bundle oob was not strong enough. Made wax melts. Weak scent. I bought the 8oz bundle. I was disappointed in every scent in the bundle. I even used them in my diffusers & my family can't smell them! I tried mixing some of the new scents together to make a stronger fragrance oil. That was also a failure. I ended up giving away the wax melts I made because they weren't strong enough. This 8oz bundle was not cheap. I took a loss here. I bought almost all mw. Fragrance oils & their body spray base & I loved them all. Until I purchased this bundle.

Best seller for lotion

My customers LOVE this scent in lotion. I have had multiple special requests after carrying it for two months, so I had to buy another bottle! I hope it is available year round (I got it with this year's fall collection)

Not that great - just mediocre. I don't know what I was expecting but wasn't happy with this FO for my men's line.

Perfect scent reminiscent of the coast in Jamaica

This is the perfect scent for my fall collection! It’s reminiscent of the coast in Jamaica during the fall months. Very masculine , woodsy and unique scent ,feels very tropical. Just right for my tropical fall collection

Wow!

I needed a "motivator" to get the fall vibe going. This fragrance did it. I have used it in wax melts, sachets and cold process soap. I "could just crawl in the bottle", i am so in like with it. I soaped at 85 degrees and was able to do a modified in pot swirl without a problem. The batter did reach trace quite fast but my method of splitting my batter at trace, hand stirring in the colorant and then the fragrance worked fine. My soap studio is smelling fantastic, and I keep sneaking sniffs of the curing bars.
