Cold Process Soap Testing Notes

Tested at 5% FO load, 12/29/21 with a recipe containing 30% lye concentration (water:lye ratio 2.300:1) with 5% superfat at 90 degrees. Recipe is 33% organic and sustainable palm oil, 33% coconut oil, 16% Canola oil, 14.9% olive oil, 3% castor oil, and 0.01% vitamin E oil.

Trace: Normal

Design Notes: Soaps really well, batter stays fluid for a fairly long time allowing for colorants to be mixed in.

Smells awesome, but separates in goat milk soap

I love the smell but each time I've used it, it separated. I tried to blame it on other factors but by the third time it must be the FO. I also use raw goat milk in my soap and I see a review with similar results. So beware if you are using goat milk. I was able to salvage my soap though. Just let it sit awhile and continued to stick blend. Next time I'll just plan for one color with no design. The smell is worth it!

Smells amazing, misbehaves in goat milk soap.

This smells absolutely delicious, so I am really disappointed that it acted up in our cold process soap. We soap with raw goat milk, so this could be the cause. It separated almost instantaneously, even soaping at room temperature. However, we will repurchase to use for other products because we love the scent and this company!

This smells just like peach gummy candy. I currently sell it in candles but I'm planning on trying it in soap this summer.

Totally Legit

I blended this peach nectar FO with the Georgia Peach FO (equal parts) in my soy blend candles and it smells exactly like a juicy, tree-ripened peach. It’s just beautiful and my customers love it. The cold throw is amazing and the hot throw doesn’t disappoint. Will order again.
