The base remains cloudy with certain scents. For example, I created a spray using the Sweet Grace fragrance and the results were clear. However, when I used the Blueberry Lychee fragrance, it was cloudy even though I followed the same mix proportions as the first.
This is my 1st using this product and so far I’m very impressed with it.. I will definitely be buying more
I made a 4 ounce bottle for my husband to try. His complaint was that the smell didn't last long. 😳
I may need to tweak my measurements some more. I really wanted this base to perform like the lotion. More practice I guess 😆 with the help of Bonnie from customer service. Which by the way, was very fast with responding to my question!!
This base is AMAZING! It feels smooth and silky when applying and the longevity of the scent stays for a few hours, which is great! My only complaint, if you even consider it one, the base does have a slight scent. It doesn't smell bad or anything negative. I noticed a lot of customers saying the base does have a scent and it stays with them throughout the entire day, but I found that after you apply the mist, that base scent disappears and you're left with the fragrance you chose to put in. Wonderful product! Would definitely recommend and buy again. Thank you!

You can smell more of the base than the fragrance oil. It's more of a spray lotion than body mist. Leaves a film on skin.

I wanted to love the base but, no matter which fragrance oil you use, the smell of the base overpowers the fragrance. It does not go away or fade even after sitting for a week.
It's a nice base, feels good on the skin. I've only tried two fragrances with it so far but I like how they turned out. I'll be ordering more.
I dont care for it bc it overpowers any fragrance soft or strong that i have added to it. I wanted so muc to like this base as i enjoy everything else they have.
Unless you add Polysorbate 80 or 20, some fragrances stay super milky no matter what you do

I love the base but my oils aren’t mixing/binding completely. Plus cloudy-ness Online it say's because I need a binder, do you guys offer that or have a recommendation?
I purchased a 16oz to try the base out. I have only tried with one scent so far. I let a friend test it tonight and she was ready to purchase.
This base has a little secret—it's not exactly unscented. Now, don't come for me, it's not a bad smell... it's subtle, almost earthy and spicy vibe.
However, if you're working with an earthy or spicy scent, this base is a hidden gem! It's fantastic for giving those fragrances an extra kick and making them pop. On the other hand, if you're aiming for something floral or light, you might find yourself in a scent battle.
Side note: A potential issue to note is that the formula may cause a reaction in some users, as it led to a sensation that caused sneezing after spraying it.
Additionally, the fragrance load seems to require adjustment. To ensure the scent has lasting power on the skin, you may need to increase the fragrance oil concentration on some fragrances, experimenting with different ratios is advised to achieve the desired result.
This is an awful base to use! So disappointing! You can’t smell your fragrance. Not sure what that smell is but it is terrible. Do not recommend!
Although, like many others have said, this does have a strong scent on its on I did not find unpleasant or hard to cover with a chose F.O. It is a very straightforward product with no learning curve, at least not for me. The only reason I don't give it five stars is due to not liking the feel of the product on my skin. I would still recommend this to someone looking to make a body spray that isn't alcohol based.

I recommend them to everyone. Their FOs are my number one best sellers! They are my go-to for all things…… except this base. I wanted to like it so much. I was so confident it would be great that I bought 5 lbs of it. I’ve used/tested 2.5 pounds of it and thrown two pounds of it away. I’ve tried every ratio possible. I’ve used from 1-5% FO and NOTHING works. Out of 10 fragrances, 1 is acceptable enough to give away.
9/10 are either cloudy, didn’t mix well, separates or still smells of the chemicals in the base. I’ve stirred, I’ve added, I’ve changed FOs, I’ve cured for over a week, and I’ve stirred some more. I’m giving up now and throwing away the remainer of what I have left. I’m so sorry MWFC, I wanted to love this so badly.
I tested it with some fragrance it feels great on the skin it smells great.

I absolutely love the fragrances from Midwest Fragrance, but I have to be honest—this body mist base was a big disappointment. The smell is terrible, and it completely overpowers the beautiful scent I added. I will not be purchasing this base again. Lesson learned: never buy in large quantities before testing!
As another has said, this base does indeed have a weird smell. Like if a honey dew melon was roasted. It’s really odd. Definitely have to up the fragrance load on any spray you make to cover that odd smell. As much as I like the convenience, I don’t think I’ll buy it again.
