Cold Process Soap Testing Notes
Tested at 5% FO load, 09/01/23 with a recipe containing 30% lye concentration (water:lye ratio 2.300:1) with 5% superfat at 90 degrees. Recipe is 33% organic and sustainable palm oil, 33% coconut oil, 16% Canola oil, 14.9% olive oil, 3% castor oil, and 0.01% vitamin E oil.

Design Notes: Some minor acceleration was noted so consider hand stirring fragrance in rather than stick blending. Recommended to mix colorants prior to adding the fragrance oil. It sets up quite fast in the mold. Great for layers and textures.

So I'm not sure if I received bad bottles or what, because the rest of the reviews are mostlt positive but this scent is so extremely light. I cant smell it in anything. I've made car diffusers, candles, wax melts, perfume and room spray with it and no one can smell it really, except very faintly. I was buying this scent from another company and it was very strong, but they were having issues getting it in stock so I decided to try Midwests version. I'm very disappointed with this one unfortunately.

Eghhh. OOB smells great. Behaves well in CP. But scent does fade to very mild. Beautiful, but not as strong as I would’ve hoped.
The smell is on point. This is my daughters favorite perfume, so I was excited to try it. Although it smells to the T like Rios, the throw is not there. I'd imagine you'd have to use double the amount to reach what some of their other fragrances offer in just am ounce.

I have had a 16 oz bottle since it was released and never used it. Bad Me. I tried it in the body mist base a couple of days ago and enjoyed the lingering scent in my soap studio. This prompted me to try it in cold process soap. Wow! I'm in serious like. I named both products "Daybreak" and did a layered design in shades of gold and yellow. I soaped at 85 degrees, split my batter at emulsion, adding my micas, then the fragrance as I worked my way through the layers. I had no problem with acceleration, actually had to stick blend the first couple of layers before pouring. I plan on trying it in my hair products and sugar scrubs.
Everything I've gotten from midwest has been amazing except this one. It smells like maple syrup and sugar. I've tried to love it. Just not it. Maybe it got mixed up with another scent.
I am absolutely in LOVE with this scent. I have every SDJ perfume and they are my everything lol. This dupe is everything! I'm not gonna lie to y'all when I seen this I didn't have a hesitation in the world and I didn't even read the reviews until after it had shipped. All in all, you WILL NOT find a difference between the perfume and this fragrance oil. It is absolutely unbelievable how much they are alike. I will be buying tons more!!!

This one is one that I use in a body cream and body oils. Its a very nice, soft feminine scent. It isn't too overpowering.

I'm not sure if I received a bad batch or something, but my bottle has legitimately zero scent. I thought maybe it was just me, but I've asked multiple people to test smell and they all said the same thing. Still love MWFC! But this one's a no from me, dawg.
I have yet to try this in wax but I love this scent OTB. I can wait to try this in melts and add to my line.
