Cold Process Soap Testing Notes

Tested at 5% FO load, 05/2/22 with a recipe containing 30% lye concentration (water:lye ratio 2.300:1) with 5% superfat at 90 degrees. Recipe is 33% organic and sustainable palm oil, 33% coconut oil, 16% Canola oil, 14.9% olive oil, 3% castor oil, and 0.01% vitamin E oil.

Acceleration: Slight

Ricing: None

Discoloration: Dark Brown

Trace: Normal

Design Notes: Soaps very well. Allows for plenty of time for intricate, complex designs or swirl designs. Due to the high vanillin and ethyl vanillin content present, dark coloration will occur. Neon micas are highly recommended to combat discoloration if lighter colors are desired but results may vary. Testing in a small batch is highly recommended.

Try it in soy wax!

Out of the bottle it smells a little different, so give it a try in soy wax! I used 6% fo.
I renamed it Sweet Sugar Berries and everyone loves it.
It is a sweet scent like raspberries in sugar and I smell notes of cotton candy/spun sugar(also a good rename) when burning in candle form.
Don't judge to quickly ootb but I also think it smells good in a diffuser.

I almost exclusively use MWFC, but this fragrance was a miss. I was going to use it in whipped body butter, but the out of bottle smell was not good and I’m too scared to try it.
