Soft, beautiful scent!

Wow! This fragrance oil is the best Frankincense & Myrrh that I've ever smelled! It's soft, earthy, and beautiful. I can't wait to make soap with this - it smells so beautiful OOB.

Amazing scent which reminds me of my childhood and going to church!!

Great smell-not great for soap

I wouldn't use this in soap anymore. As soon as I added to a perfect light trace it started clumping and getting thick. :/ I had a whole plan to make a beautiful soap and it just plopped in. :(

Baby powder smell

I like the scent, however, without prompting, several people have said it smells like a baby scent. I was hoping the frankincense would be a little stronger. I didn’t have it seize my CP batter, but it did accelerate. I planned to keep this a simple bar anyway, so this wasn’t a problem for me.

So good!

I wasn’t sure if I would like this one, but once I made wax melts and started testing it, I loved it. I expect this one to be a new customer favorite.

Carol

Very fragrant.

Not the same scent I ordered in 2023

I typically order several bottles of this scent for my Christmas soaps. This is not as good as the fragrance I normally order. Did the formula change? Disappointed. The scent smells cheap. Soap makers, order a small bottle first. I will be looking elsewhere for this scent.

Very nice scent

This has become one of my favorites, for sure. I tend towards the warmer, spicy scents and this one really makes for a good-smelling candle. A definite winner in my book!

Myrrh>Frankincense

l like incense-like scents, and really wanted to like this. I find the Myrrh overpowering the Frankincense which I would prefer reversed. Because that's personal preference I put 3 stars, though I will give it to someone else or combine it with another scent to change it. If you're unsure, get the 2oz because it's quality product, affordable, and a company worth supporting.

Beautiful best seller

This fragrance alone may not be for everyone, but when blended, it is just beautiful! Many other F&M FO's have a powdery note that is too strong, this is just perfect! A consistent best seller for me during the Christmas season- however, I do sell it year round! A nice change from the typical Christmas tree, gingerbread cookie etc, smells. Never stop carrying this!

Suzie

Don’t smell anything like the FO Too bad

E
Elisabeth

Honestly not my favorite scent.

Soft and winter comfort

I love this fragrance. It’s earthy and reminds me of a warm Christmas but not the typical Christmas fragrance.

Will be making winter/ fall candles with this.

J
Joseph

Perfect blending of the two fragrances.

Not the Same

This has consistently been one of our best sellers (in candles), not only during the holiday season but year-round. Something is different about the last bottles we purchased. If you've used it in the past, you'll notice the difference right out of the bottle. It's more perfume-y and it's just not the same. Thought maybe because I had been sick recently that my nose was just off so I made candles as usual. My "regular' customers noticed the difference right away.

YES!!

Though I haven't had the opportunity to work with this for my holiday line, I have another plan for it. I like the softness and clean scent of this fragrance.

K
Kila

My customers love this scent! It's nice and clean like an adult baby powder!

Yowza!!

This Fragrance is a TOP seller for us! However, beware in CP soap! It WILL seize. So, make sure you're ready to work in scoops and lumpy soap. It won't be the prettiest soap but OMG, the fragrance is outstanding! I work with this as if I'm working with embeds and you want all the nooks and crannies filled it. Customers who buy this do not care about the look of the soap; they just LOVE the fragrance. I will always keep this fragrance in stock.

Love this mixed with White Tea!

I used the blend suggestion from MWFC to mix it with White Tea and it smells amazing! A favourite in wax melts and candles!

Michelle (Peoria, US)
Definitely not the same

I've order Frankincense and Myrrh from Midwest in the past and this definitely isn't the same fragrance. I don't get any notes of frankincense or Myrrh. This is so disappointing because this is one of my top sellers.

Not what I expected

Not at all what I expected. I have smelt other Frankincense + Myrrh oils. I do not smell the frankincense.

Love it! Leaving a few tips that worked for me for CP

I was a bit nervous after reading so many reviews on this FO accelerating and ricing. I nearly chickened out, but I'm so glad I didn't! I soaped at a very cool temperature (around 80). Doing so left me with plenty of time to work. I did prepare my colors ahead of adding the FO. I also used the stick blender very sparingly. The patience certainly paid off. I think it also depends on your recipe and your water discount. Keep those things in mind when you test it out. This fragrance is beautiful and will do well with my audience during the holiday season. I plan to use it across several other products.

Smells great! Not too strong, just the right amount of hot throw.

Frequently Asked Questions

We’re so glad you asked! At MWFC, our fragrance oils are crafted with makers like you in mind. Every scent undergoes testing to ensure exceptional hot and cold throw for candles, and we also perform soap testing, providing detailed notes for each fragrance. Our fragrances are thoughtfully designed to spark creativity and help your creations stand out. Plus, we stay on top of industry trends to take the guesswork out of finding the perfect scent. We’re all about quality, consistency, and making sure our fragrances elevate your projects—and we think you’ll feel (and smell) the difference!

We know how important it is to get your supplies fast! Orders are typically processed and shipped within 1–2 business days, but the top of our website always has the most up-to-date information. Using our fragrance oils is super simple, and we’re here to guide you! For candles, we recommend adding your fragrance to the melted wax when it’s at the correct temperature (usually around 185°F, but check your wax’s specs). Mix well, pour, and let the magic happen. For soap-making, our oils are perfect for melt-and-pour, cold process, or hot process soaps. Always follow recommended usage rates and do a small test batch to ensure everything works beautifully. Need more tips? Check out our resources—we love helping makers like you!

The recommended fragrance load can vary depending on your project, but here’s a good starting point: for candles, we suggest 6–10% of your total wax weight, depending on your wax type and personal preference. For soaps, always checkIFRA usage rates to ensure your oils are skin-safe and used at the right level. When in doubt, start small and adjust until you find your perfect balance!
