Cold Process Soap Testing Notes

Tested at 5% FO load, 1/10/24 with a recipe containing 30% lye concentration (water:lye ratio 2.300:1) with 5% superfat at 90 degrees. Recipe is 33% organic and sustainable palm oil, 33% coconut oil, 16% Canola oil, 14.9% olive oil, 3% castor oil, and 0.01% vitamin E oil.

Trace: Normal

Design Notes: Fragrance soaps very well. Batter stays fluid for a long time, allowing for plenty of working time for intricate and complex designs.

Scent Retention: Moderate

Reminiscent of a unisex cologne / parfume

This is by far, one of my favorite fragrances from MWF Co. It reminds me of the NEST unisex parfume that's no longer sold, called White Sandalwood.
I've not used this in CP soap yet, but I will remember the comments here regarding ricing / acceleration. This may be one that needs a mostly liquid oil recipe.
I've used this in cream conditioners and lotions though and people love it.

Wow 😲

The CP testing notes need to be revised. I had severe ricing and acceleration immediately upon adding the FO. My initial plans were completely scratched and I have a ricey bloppy mess 😞 it smells good but I should have read the reviews instead of trusting the notes. So disappointed. I'm very careful only to buy FOs that don't accelerate, rice or discolor.

Amazing scent!

Loved the name and scent notes but after giving it the sniff test I knew I had to work with it. I used it for cp soap so far and love it. It does accelerate the soap batter. I used it for a rainbow soap and found out a little late on the acceleration but it still came out beautiful. I can't wait to try it in my lotion line and wax items.

Perfect spring scent

This one is amazing, I have already made beard oils with it, next will be wax melts.

Smells amazing but accelerates cp soap

Definitely accelerates cp soap, fairly fast at .9 oz ppo. Would be ok for single layers because have enough time to mix in fragrance but no complicated designs. Trace moves quick, so be prepared.
